MANY lates for paid auto loan?

I have been in credit repair mode now for 6 months and am making some progress. I had a truck loan for about $27K opened in 5/2000. I paid off the truck on 1/2007. The three agencies show the following:

Eq: 30 days (22) 60 days (1)

Ex: 30 days (22) 60 days (1)

Trans: 30 days (13) 60 days (0)

I have tried to send a GW letter, disputed through Equifax online twice, all to no avail.

Question 1: Is there any other methods to get this removed?

Question 2: How much will those negatives impact me in the next 12 months for auto/mortgage loans. Hoping little since the loan was paid in full.

Thanks

The only way you would be able to remove those is if you can prove that you were not 30 days late. So you would have to compare the due date and the date each of the payments were actually posted. If you were only 20 days late(for example) you can dispute it. If you can only find one or two that were incorrect you should still dispute them. But in the overall picture a couple out of 22 is not going to help you a lot.

Other than that the only thing that can remove them is time. They can only be reported for 7 years from the date of each of the late.

As for the effect it has. The biggest effect is any of them that occurred in the last 24 months. The more you have in this time the worse it will be for your score. Then the farther past the 24 months the less of an effect they have.

It does work in your favor that you paid off the loan. However, late payments will remain on your credit report for 7 years. You can dispute them, but they will probably not be removed if they're accurate. The late payments will probably cause you to have a higher interest rate on any new loans you get. Sorry, there is no quick fix for your credit. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying or offering to do something illegal.

At least it shows you did pay them off and didn't have a repo the first time you had problems. It shows them that you worked your way through it and didn't stick it to them. Congrats for that. its better than a lot of others would have done.

Also the Trans Union report is the best of all three and that is the one used most of the time for auto loans. As to your mortgage issue I have no idea
