I have 9 credit cards; 5 of which are about $100 or less from being maxed out. My total credit card debt is almost $5000.00. I am now not using any of them I am just paying them off and have been for about 6 months or so. I pay on time every month and always have. I also have one auto loan with a co-signer and about $1,200 left to pay out of an $8000 loan. On transunion I have one negative cable bill from 4 years ago that I have not paid.
We currently need a second vehicle. I have only had my job for 4 months and I am starting a new PT job in a week, with that I would make about $1,680 gross. My boyfriend pays all of our other bills, he makes about $2000.00 net (but his credit is awful, he will not be on the loan app).
Can I even get a loan without a co-signer? If so should I try a Bank or a Dealer? I have no Down Payment and we need the car ASAP. We were looking at a Loan around $10,000. We want a truck no older than 2001. Any help would be
Can I get a Auto loan with a Credit score of 610 (equifax)?
I know that Wells Fargo will approve loans to people with less than perfect credit. My score is lower then your and I was able to get an 2006 with only $700 down.
But if you can't get it through a bank/credit union you best bet would be to look at in house loans through the dealership. Yes the payment will be higher but trust me they will make it happen. Maybe in a year you can redo the loan when you credit is better.
Also keep in mind that banks don't just look at your beacon score. They also look at your payment history too.

NINE credit cards? - No down payment - boyfriend with awful credit - auto loan with a co-signer - negative cable bill - 4 months employed - starting a new PT job -
The question should not be if you 'can', but rather if you 'should'.
As desperate as the dealers are to sell a car and as desperate as you are to buy a car, I am sure that you will find a dealer to finance you.
However, you will be charged an outrageous interest rate, and may have to settle for what they allow you to buy.
Look, your situation is on the road to disaster. I have heard this story before.
You don't earn enough income to justify a $10000 loan. Regardless of what the dealer tells you. They are in it for the money.
Your boyfriend is not your husband and it has often been proven that a persons credit report is a direct reflection of one's personal character.
Get the car if you want, but it is my opinion that you hunker down and direct all of your energy to get rid of the debt you already have.
If you are buying this 'second car ASAP' for your boyfriend, I am sure that their will be a bankruptcy attorney that may be able to help you out when you are ready.
Get your debt under control so you can open the doors of opportunity of your life.
God Bless.

It's not a question of just your credit score, they will look at your debt to income ratio, having a high credit score is good, but they want to know that you can afford the car, and if your bf isn't on the application his income is not going to even matter. I would think very carefully about getting another car/note.
